Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 30, 2026
NullScroll is an Android focus app in development. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through this website and what we expect to collect when the app beta becomes available.
Short version: we are building NullScroll to protect attention, not to sell attention. We do not sell personal information, and the product is being designed to keep focus detection as local and minimal as possible.
1. Information this website collects
When you visit nullscroll.com, we may receive basic technical information through our hosting and security providers, such as:
- IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, referring page, and approximate location derived from IP address.
- Basic security logs used to protect the site from abuse, spam, and attacks.
- Your email address and message content if you contact us or request beta access by email.
2. Beta and Android app data
The Android app is not publicly launched yet. To block doomscrolling, the app may require Android permissions such as Accessibility Service or Usage Access. These permissions may help the app detect scrolling behavior, identify protected apps, and show a focus interruption.
Our intent is to process focus and scroll-detection signals on device whenever practical, collect the minimum data needed for the feature, and avoid collecting message content, passwords, private posts, or unrelated screen content. We will update this policy before any public release if the app collects additional data.
3. How we use information
- To respond to messages and beta requests.
- To run, secure, debug, and improve the website and app.
- To understand interest in NullScroll and plan early beta access.
- To comply with legal obligations or prevent abuse.
4. What we do not do
- We do not sell personal information.
- We do not use this website to run tracking ads.
- We do not want NullScroll to become another attention-harvesting product.
5. Service providers
We may use service providers such as Cloudflare for hosting, DNS, security, analytics, and email routing, plus email providers to receive and reply to messages. These providers process information under their own policies and only as needed to provide their services.
6. Retention
We keep emails and beta requests as long as needed to respond, operate the beta, or maintain records. Security and hosting logs are retained according to provider defaults unless needed longer for security or legal reasons.
7. Children and families
NullScroll is intended to help families build healthier attention habits, but this website is not directed at children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it where required.
8. Your choices
You can ask us to delete beta request emails or correct information you sent us. Some technical logs may remain for security, legal, or backup reasons.
9. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy as NullScroll moves from landing page to beta to public release. The updated date above will change when we do.
